furiously cleaning the house, trying to stamp my energy on every corner of it, now that I officially live alone.

then - while removing the disco ball - I hit a nerve, and got nostalgic of my recent past. which means another chapter is open, as if my recent past became read-only, not more editable.
.
my memory works in ages… i remember roughly 5 ages, and I look at it with a detachment as if it’s not my own life, but something like my nation’s past: it can’t be fixed, just acknowledged.
.
so yeah, new chapter, huh? i wish to be a shapeshifter, can i?

ah, I now added the entire post for my break up with jeff, at “all is said and done“.

before, i decided to hold it, but now i feel it won’t cause (more) ripples if published. go there and see.

and let me go, i’m busy with a lot of fractured projects I forgot to say no (why am i this way?) and now i have to honor my word, even if i have to kill my weekend.

things are already chaotic. and it will be more, till the end of mayan calendar (in december 2012). or so they say. constant change is here to stay.

you may or may not believe in it, but it pays to compare your pace with the moon phases. new moon, new chapter (make a wish). full moon, resolution (face your destiny). wax and wane, inhale and exhale.
.

here’s the anouncement: after like, what?, 5 years together, me and jeff decided to break up.

I mean, it’s my literate obsession in constantly trying to match the words with the facts. when being “together” didn’t mean together, as much as we tried.
.
and i’ve seen so many times troubled couples in this pattern of trying to hold things in respect of their history. and I know they then spend one or two years thru hell, trying to connect with each other thru negative attention (hey, anything that drives us on the same orbit again).
.
and from my experience as a witness they all break up later: bitter, hurt, resentful and with a lot of cautionary tales to confess their friends in a drinking table. that crazy little thing called love, man.
.
i don’t want that for us. jeff is my first real, complete, mature relationship. from all the boyish, fearsome relations i had before, the history of it was always denied - either because we met in secret, because it was not monogamic, because our feelings never matched enough to create a concise narrative - and this time i want to honor my past.
.
When all is said and done,
we must forgive each other,
and redeem each other,
and move on.
